Socios has taken its first steps into the world of American Football and Soccer, thanks to the announcement of a groundbreaking partnership with Kraft Sports + Entertainment’s New England Patriots and the New England Revolution.

A New Frontier

The announcement of the partnership with the New England Revolution and the New England Patriots represents the first deal that Socios has made with clubs in Major League Soccer and the National Football League. The deal adds to the agreements that it already has with 24 National Basketball Association Franchises.

The announcement also drastically increases Socio.com’s ever-expanding footprint in America, specifically in the New England region, and also marks Socios’ first partnership with an ownership group that encompasses several sports.

Better Engagement With The Fan Base

The New England Patriots will utilize the partnership with Socios.com to engage with their fan base through the list of activities available through the Socios mobile application. Socios.com will also use activities such as “Patriots Fans Predictions” to reward fans for correctly answering match-related questions every week for the duration of the season.

The partnership also makes Socios.com the official sponsor of the Patriots’ indoor practice field house. The CEO of Socios.com commented on the partnership, stating,

“Kraft Sports + Entertainment is home to one of the winningest franchises in NFL history, as well as the top team in Major League Soccer this season, so we are ecstatic to welcome this prestigious, successful group into the Socios.com family. We look forward to partnering with the Patriots and Revolution to increase their fan engagement as we continue our surge into the U.S. sports industry.”

Socios And New England Revolution Partnership

The New England Revolutions are the winners of the 2021 MLS Supporters Shield, and the partnership with Socios.com will see the latter become the official sponsor of the Revolutions’ training center. Socios will also display in-stadium signage during games while also running a prediction poll throughout the team’s run in the MLS cup playoffs, allowing fans to win prizes such as autographed merchandise and tickets.

New England Revolution’s president Brian Bilello commented on the partnership, stating,

“We are excited to partner with the pioneering team at Socios.com, a global leader in cutting-edge fan engagement, to offer new and innovative experiences for our fans to connect with their club. The Revolution look forward to collaborating with Socios.com to enrich the fan experience both virtually and at the stadium, providing them with more access to their favorite club and players than ever before.”

A Growing Roster

The teams join over a hundred more sporting organizations on Socios, including leading franchises such as the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, and Los Angeles Lakers. The list also includes European giants such as PSG, Juventus, FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Valencia, Manchester City, Arsenal, Inter Milan, and the Portuguese and Argentinian national teams.

Token Purchase Will Have To Wait

Patriot fans planning to purchase tokens within the Socios app will have to wait, with the league still wary about crypto. The partnership will focus on marketing and in-stadium branding. The NFL has also banned teams from selling sponsorship to crypto exchanges but has allowed them to partner with companies such as Socios.

European Clubs Hit The Jackpot

Meanwhile, European clubs have made over $150 million through Socios. With the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic severely impacting revenue, clubs had been forced to explore other options to increase revenue and meet the shortfall. Socios has been one of those avenues that allowed clubs to mitigate some of the financial impacts of the Pandemic, with some clubs managing to raise more than $20 million each.
