StarSharks solidifies its position as an NFT-GameFi ecosystem on the Binance Smart Chain through the deployment of its first game. StarShark.Warriors is a turn0based card game where players need to eliminate all the sharks held by their opponents. The game can be obtained from the StarSharks homepage and is accessible to everyone.

As StarSharks aims to create the sharks metaverse, the team’s first game followed a similar pattern. All sharks on the platform are non-fungible tokens to be sued in battle. Additionally, players can raise and synthesize their sharks, creating a sustainable economic system for novice and experienced players alike. Combat rules are simple, although there are still mechanisms to keep the game engaging and challenging.

StarSharks CEO Franky explains:

“We are excited and ready to bring people together to the StarSharks metaverse with the first game on this platform: StarShark.Warriors. It is a milestone and the beginning of our journey to become an inclusive, passionate and creative community. We hope that the community will enjoy the ‘StarSharks.Warriors’ game, and look forward to building future adventures and experiences with the StarSharks community.”

The StarSharks.Warriors game spans numerous aspects players need to consider. Components include shark body parts, genes, skill cards, attributes, and species. Every player has a default six skill cards allotted to them. All cards are issued randomly, creating an element of surprise and incentivizing players to make strategic decisions along the way.

Whether one plays in PvE or PvP, the objective is mainly the same: defeat as many opponents as you can and collect the rewards. The PvE mode provides an adventure-oriented campaign, which the team will improve upon based on community feedback. A future iteration of StarSharks.Warriors will include a training mode for novice players. Every player is matched against opponents through a ranking system.

StarSharks.Warriors is the first of a total of five games coming to the shark metaverse. Players will be able to move their in-game assets freely between these games, providing true NFT ownership. Moreover, every NFT will have a higher value to the holder, as it can unlock multiple gaming experiences through one initial investment. Players who cannot afford a NFT can rent a Shark through the leasing feature, adding a rent-to-play element to the metaverse.

StarSharks recently raised $48 million in private funding from numerous renowned VCs and investors. Participants include Binance Labs, DAO Maker, MarketAcross, KuCoin Labs, YGG SEA, and many others. Additionally, the project received a strategic investment from Binance Labs before the private funding round.
