Has Shiba Inu (SHIB) gone out of fashion? The meme crypto seems to be losing the interest and support of its investors.

The last month of the “dogecoin killer” crypto has not seen much price movement, going against the mood of high volatility that has been attributed time and time again to the crypto world.

Looking at its chart, in fact, as of July 13, 2021, SHIB’s price seems to have dropped below $0.000007 without ever touching it again. It can be said that with its pump&dump lows, SHIB continues to have a stable price at $0.000006.

Still, its $2.5 billion market capitalization sees it among the top 50 crypto assets by market cap, with a crypto market dominance of 0.15%. So what is happening to the Shiba Inu dog crypto?

The price of Shiba Inu (SHIB) over time

Thinking back to the past few months, in May 2021, SHIB had been listed on the Kucoin and Binance crypto-exchanges, seeing its All-Time High (ATH) price at 0.038 thousandths of a dollar, which was a 1000% pump. A moment that had seen SHIB be among the top 20 positions in the entire crypto market by market cap.

Same thing in June 2021, right after SHIB’s listing on Coinbase Pro, the crypto’s price had seen a 24% pump from $0.000007 to $0.000009.

While this past month, SHIB’s new listing on the eToro trading platform which took place exactly on July 29, 2021, seems to give results of “price stability” at $0.000006, without having seen even minimal pumps.

Shiba Inu and NFT memes

Although SHIB no longer seems to captivate, the world of crypto memes does not seem to be going out of fashion. In fact, just today, Shiba Inu shared on Twitter the launch of a marketplace dedicated entirely to NFT memes.

“SHIB multi-bagger by the end of 2021. Move over Shiba Inu (SHIB), a meme token marketplace is coming to Polygon”.

This is Meme.com, the new marketplace for NFT memes that will be created on Polygon’s blockchain.

Basically, through Meme.com, users can build their own Meme Token wallet, sponsor their favourite memes, and earn rewards for supporting the best performing memes on the marketplace.

Along with Shiba Inu and Dogecoin, participating in the marketplace are Harold, Pepe, Distracted Boyfriend, Grumpy Cat, and many others.

Speaking about this, Johan Unger, co-founder of Meme.com, said:

“We want meme aficionados to be able to have fun with their passion, while also being able to monetize it”.
