As revealed by Forbes, four different NFTs dedicated to Queen’s lead singer Freddie Mercury will be auctioned off in a few hours.

Freddie Mercury NFTs

Specifically, the sale of these non-fungible tokens will begin at 5 PM (CET) today on SuperRare for a duration of 75 hours.

The proceeds will be donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust to help in the fight against AIDS, the disease from which Mercury died in 1991. To date, the charity has received $17 million.

Georgio Constantinou, CEO of Six Group, the company behind the project, said:

“Six was honored to curate an incredible collection of artists to celebrate the life and impact of Freddie Mercury. After meeting with the Mercury Phoenix Trust, we knew that if Freddie were alive today, he would be excited about the creative potential of the NFT space”.

NFTs Tron
NFTs are now also on Tron

NFTs are also coming to Tron

After Ethereum, Zilliqa, Solana and other blockchains, NFTs are now also on Tron with the renamed TronApes collection, likely after the success of the Bored Apes.

This NFT project was created by The Fan DAO, a sort of Tron fan base who decided to put 10’001 collectables up for sale on the website Tapes.fansforever.io.

Spells of Genesis on sale for 8 ETH

Another project that is enjoying great success on OpenSea is Emblem Vault, whose Satoshi Card, mined back in 2015, has been put on sale for 8 Ethereum, or around $25,000.

It is one of the first NFT projects in existence and this longevity helps in making the cards themselves gain value.

Spells of Genesis is actually a mobile game (available on both iOS and Android) based on Ethereum’s blockchain that you can play with by having these cards in NFT form.

Among its partners are top-tier companies such as exchanges and wallets Kraken, Ledger and Shapeshift.

Apple versus NFTs

Although there are games such as Spells of Genesis on iOS, it seems that Apple doesn’t particularly like the NFT trend. In fact, a few days ago, Apple blocked the Gnosis Safe wallet on the grounds that it had put NFTs up for sale.

This is the tweet of the CEO of Gnosis Safe:

This news also comes after the case of eBay, which had announced that it was giving the possibility to sell NFTs and then denied it and blocked several advertisers.
