A focus on NFTs
The past year has put NFTs in the spotlight. This years’ CVC will boast an NFT-focused stage featuring live performances from Polarrana, a rising pop star who recently tokenised her single with the Crypto Valley Association, the first ever NFT issued under new Swiss blockchain law. Other entertainment and demonstrations will include a live NFT auction, an art exhibition, and more. In addition, a series of special master classes will take place on the 28th October, which will aim to provide tangible, actionable crypto knowledge.
Commenting on the event, Daniel Haudenschild, President of the Crypto Valley Association, said:
“We are looking forward to the return of the CVC, in person, this October. As the crypto and blockchain industry matures, its impact on even more factions of business and society continues to increase. For this reason, the CVC’s ability to facilitate the coming together of leaders in academia, research, crypto, DeFi, technical development, legal and regulation is invaluable. As an annual event, the CVC sets the foundation for the future of the blockchain industry and allows the blockchain community to check in and reflect on where we are now, where we want to go, and what we need to do to get there on a yearly basis. Pertinent topics that will be discussed this year include: security from the prosecutor’s view; government and regulatory attitudes and opportunities, challenges for centralised and decentralised exchanges; the need for self-sovereign identity; and more.”
This years’ CVC sponsors include Fireblocks, Ledger, Bitcoin Suisse, Taurus, OpedPayd, Sygnum, Dukascopy Bank, Copper and Incore.
The CVC is organised in collaboration with the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Dr. Alexander Denzler, Head of the Blockchain Lab at Lucerne University, said:
“The CVC is a staple event in the blockchain industry calendar. Our continued involvement and support for the event reflects our academic institutions’ commitment to debate, discussion and making connections. The reopening of in-person events provides the industry with the opportunity to make lasting relationships once again and we look forward to welcoming attendees this October.”
