According to a forecast by a panel of experts at Finder, the price of Ethereum (ETH) is expected to exceed $5,000 by the end of this year, reach $15,000 by 2025, and then even exceed 50,000 dollars by 2030.
Ethereum’s price towards $50,000
ETH is currently worth around $4,200, with the all-time high recorded last week at over $4,360.
According to the forecast by the panel of experts contacted by Finder, by the end of the year, the price of ETH should rise by about 21%. But they do not say what could happen next year.
This is in fact a short-term forecast, followed by one for the long and very long term, but not for the medium term.
In the long term, Finder‘s experts claim that the price of Ethereum could triple in the next cycle, with another threefold increase in the next cycle.
These are 5 experts who were asked for a forecast for the next two weeks.
Of these, 3 were bullish, 1 neutral and 1 bearish about the week beginning November 1.
Finder’s panel of crypto experts is made up of more than 15 people. Five of them are asked in rotation whether they are bullish, neutral or bearish.
Overall, the panel has been optimistic on average since the beginning of October, although the most bullish forecasts are for the week beginning November 8.
Expert opinion
University of East London associate professor Iwa Salami was asked for a year-end forecast, in line with the panel’s predictions, and the figure that emerged was $5,000.
According to Salami, alternative blockchains to Ethereum are not yet threatening it, so it is likely to maintain its dominance for at least a little while longer.
Other experts, including Cake DeFi CEO Julian Hosp, RealFevr blockchain chief Pedro Febrero, and Origin Protocol co-founder Joshua Fraser, say the year could end with ETH near $10,000, based on expectations for potential future developments in the project.
In contrast, the two experts who are not optimistic argue that the final 2021 price could be in line with the current one. At around $4,000, or could even fall to $2,500. Others have argued that ETH could close 2021 at $3,000.
As for the price of ETH over the next few cycles, the technologist and futurist at Thomson Reuters, Joseph Raczynski, predicts $12,000 by 2025, while Julian Hosp believes it will be worth $15,000, rising to $50,000 by 2030.
The CEO of Coinmama, Sagi Bakshi, even predicts $40,000 by 2025 and $100,000 by 2030, while University of Brighton lecturer Paul Levy expects the price to reach $7,000 by 2025 and $15,000 by 2030.
Others believe the price will fall in the next cycle, to as low as $2,000.
