The world of cryptocurrencies is intricate, volatile, and almost incomprehensible in the eyes of many who rely on Google to learn more. Among the most searched cryptocurrencies, there is no doubt: the queen is Bitcoin but there are even other altcoins that stand out.
Bitcoin dominates the ranking of the most searched cryptocurrencies
BTC is the most searched cryptocurrency on Google globally. There are, in fact, 22,000,000 searches per month.
A frighteningly large number, which can bode well that the infamous “mass conversion” is slowly going to happen.
In second place is Ethereum, which has over 15 million fewer searches than Bitcoin.
In third place is Shiba Inu, also known as the SHIB token.
Continuing on, we have XRP, created by the currency exchange company Ripple Lab Inc, which receives 2,100,000 searches per month, and Cardano right behind with 2,000,000 monthly searches on Google.
The Shiba case
A brief recap of the coin history that these days is making so much talk about itself: Shiba Inu.
The token Shiba Inu was launched in August 2020.
The anonymous creator calls himself “Ryoshi” and is speculated to be of Chinese origin.
Not long after its launch, the coin unexpectedly became a popular alternative to major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, but for no apparent reason. In fact, it was born as a joke coin and was even, at times, able to eclipse Dogecoin, earning it the nickname “Dogecoin killer.”
However, it must be added for the benefit of the less experienced that, unlike Bitcoin, altcoins like Shiba are much more susceptible to sudden and large price fluctuations due to their negligible value.
The price of Shiba
A recent development was the listing of the coin on Coinbase, which resulted in a 34% price increase.
Even more recently, however, is the surge in the value of Shiba in recent days.
The coin reached a new record high of $0.000089 on Thursday, October 28, after its value had already increased by 50% on Sunday, October 24.
Shiba’s investors hope to see the coin touch the $1 mark.
The story of this altcoin is incredible. Just like Dogecoin, the coin that pays homage to the popular Shiba Inu dog breed has made millionaires out of investors who dared and believed in its potential from the very beginning.
The price has increased by 85,082,614.97% compared to last year’s value, an extraordinary rise.
