The three footballers will become part of a Mystery Box Collection provided by TopGoal

Specifically, buyers of these NFTs will get playing cards showing the three footballers in their epic moments. The collection is called “Returns of Legends S2” and includes 12,000 cards. The cards will be part of the TopGoal ecosystem and can be used in GameFi and DeFi applications. Some cards are limited edition. Specifically, there will be:

  • 6 Legendary cards;
  • 9 Epic cards;
  • 9 Rare cards.

Three of the 6 Legendary cards will be auctioned off by the three-star players themselves.

In addition, to celebrate the launch of the Mystery Box, Alessandro Del Piero will take part in an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session with Binance CEO Changpeng CZ Zhao

The rise of Binance NFT

Since its launch, Binance NFT has become one of the most successful NFT platforms, with impressive growth. In its first month, it racked up sales of 25 million BUSD, gave away 300,000 mystery boxes, and brought together 400 creators. It currently has 900,000 mystery boxes sold and revenues of over 103 million BUSD from NFT sales.

After all, Binance is one of the most popular and widely used exchanges in the world. Its user base can have the same account to access the NFT marketplace. It also allows users to move NFTs from Ethereum to Binance Smart Chain with ease.

Sport embraces NFTs

The union between the world of football and NFTs seems to be a done deal. It started with Sorare, with its blockchain-based fantasy football project, which has embraced several teams and even national football teams. Every player has been turned into NFT cards to be collected, sold, exchanged, a bit like the famous Panini stickers.  But with Sorare cards, it is also possible to play fantasy football, and this has literally won over an audience of sports fans and innovators.

In other cases, football stars have become NFTs to be treasured.

For example, Zilliqa has launched a project involving some of the world’s most famous footballers including Manchester City’s Rúben Dias, Atletico Madrid’s João Félix and Paris Saint-Germain’s Keylor Navas.

Finally, the Italian Serie A team Fiorentina has launched a collection of NFTs to celebrate its 95th anniversary, with gadgets and symbols of the “Viola” history on sale on Genuino.

All in all, the NFT world has become a sector that has infected and reinvigorated a crisis-ridden world like football.
