This is a total of $4.25 million. Beckham‘s move is twofold.

On the one hand, there is the awareness of investing in a branch of the economy that is yielding the best results. On the other hand, there is a line of sponsorship and marketing that involves the Cash App dimension and rewarded followers (on Twitter) with a prize gift of almost a million dollars.

Fans attending the event (which closes on 10 December) will have to respond via their Cash App profile with a tweet and the hashtag #OBJBTC.

The crypto market and media communication are unifying to create a call to action aimed primarily at fans of sports teams.

This is because it is much easier to bring people to cryptocurrency platforms and make them become conduits. This connection has proven to be very successful to date.

Sports and cryptocurrencies

Many companies are considering partnerships with VIPs and celebrities from the sports world, in order to achieve a double return both in terms of branding and in terms of medium and long-term revenues. Personalities like Beckham are simply carrying the message to the new cryptographic dimension by using the leverage of their contracts (to be received in cryptocurrencies) to raise awareness of the message.

If this results in giving away almost a million dollars to fans, it is worth doing a serious analysis of how investing companies are doing from a marketing point of view.

Back in early November, we reported on Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers receiving a portion of his salary in Bitcoin.

His big publicity move, also seen as magnanimous generosity for his many followers, resulted in a final gift of almost a million dollars, again through the Cash App and Twitter.

Tom Brady and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, became ambassadors for the new crypto dimension through their collaboration with FTX. More and more athletes are choosing the cryptocurrency path.

This move is also intended to show that there is not only a rising professional qualification, but also the enthusiasm to represent one’s own profile that can be transformed into a successful brand.
