CertiK has announced that it has secured $80 million in its latest funding round, which brought the company’s total valuation to nearly $1 billion. The funding round is the largest fundraising for any company in the blockchain space.

The B2 Funding Round was led by Sequoia Capital China and also saw participation from already existing investors such as Coatue Management, Tiger Global, and GL Ventures, which is Hillhouse Capital’s VC Arm. CertiK has already held three funding rounds in under four months and has seen a total of $140 million invested in the company.
Substantial Growth
CertiK has seen significant growth in all key areas such as revenue, products, and people. The company has seen growth in revenue, which has seen a 20x increase over the past one year and is likely to increase even further.
CertiK has also seen a significant uptick in its headcount, which is up by 4x, with the company still actively hiring for key roles. CertiK has roped in Dr. David Tarditi, who has joined the company as Vice President of Engineering. Dr. Tarditi brings with him over 16 years in nurturing and leading research teams and engineering teams at Microsoft. He also holds 22 patents and has also researched typed intermediate languages. These languages give compiler developers proof of compiler phases maintaining key correctness properties.
CertiK has also brought on board Monier Jalal, who brings with him over 20 years of experience and leadership in the cyber security space. Mr. Jalal has been a key part of several companies, helping them launch their products, and has also been part of the founding and executive teams of several cybersecurity startups.
New Products In The Pipeline
CertiK has also released Skynet, which is a monitoring platform active 24×7, that can detect and protect blockchains against any sophisticated attack. CertiK’s Skynet and Security Leaderboard have both seen unprecedented growth, with Skynet’s booked revenue seeing a surge of 2300% since the end of 2020. Security Leaderboard’s users, on the other hand, have seen users grow by 2000%. CertiK has already lined up more products which will be released soon, according to CertiK.
