Binance lands in Formula 1 thanks to its partnership with the BWT Alpine team, the first automotive team to take advantage of fan tokens.
BWT Alpine on Binance Fan Token
For the first time, a Formula 1 team will experiment with Binance fan tokens, which are already having great success in the world of soccer. Thanks to Binance Launchpad, Alpine F1 Team Fan Token (ALPINE) will be launched. The token will serve to engage Formula 1 team fans even more. Through this token, BWT Alpine and Binance count on expanding the knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrency in the sports world.
Initially, the ALPINE token will only be available on Launchpad; then, it will also arrive on the spot exchange for a credit card or P2P purchase.
What is involved in the purchase of the ALPINE token?
With the ALPINE token, fans will experience a new form of engagement, with exclusive experiences such as direct access to the racing environment. They will also have privileged access to purchase NFT or exclusive tickets to race practice and other products not sold in the regular market.
The token will also allow them to create a truly exclusive fan community.
Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine, commented:
“BWT Alpine F1 Team is not one to shy away from challenges nor are we afraid to continually push the limit both on and off the track. Partnering with Binance fuels our passion to change the racing landscape as well as open doors for more innovative fan engagement. This journey starts with the ALPINE token launch and the unveiling of a special collection of NFTs. These upcoming, limited edition NFTs will highlight Alpine’s commitment in striving for elegance, ingenuity and audacity. We aim to be forerunners in this new digital space and we believe Binance is the right partner to take us all the way to the checkered flag.”
Binance Fiat Exchange CEO and Head of NFT and Fan Tokens, Helen Hai, commented:
“We are proud to announce the launch of BWT Alpine F1 Team on the Binance Fan Token Platform, and our first Formula 1 partnership. The Alpine name has a rich history in motorsports but it is in its innovative approaches to fan engagement that aligns perfectly with our vision for Binance Fan Tokens. Alpine always pushes the envelope when it comes to engaging their fans who have access to perks like: exclusive test drives, one-on-one time with professional racing drivers, as well as playing host to rallies set in the picturesque French countryside – just to name a few! We aim to bring equally exciting experiences to the blockchain and drive even more utility for ALPINE holders, to extend the range of activities fans can already do on our platform. We are just approaching ‘turn one’ of ‘lap one’ on the token race track; and possibilities are truly endless.”
Binance in the world of sports
Binance’s entry into the world of Formula 1 follows its entry into the world of soccer. One of the first steps came with the launch of the Juventus fan token back in 2019. Last year, however, Binance crystallized its presence in Italian soccer by becoming the main sponsor of Lazio.
It cannot be ruled out that Alpine is only the first Formula 1 team to choose Binance and that soon other teams will want to use fan tokens to expand their fanbase.
