What’s Happening on the Lightning Network?

Prior to 2021, there wasn’t much adoption of Lightning but a lot has changed since then. In the past year, major exchanges, payment processors, and fintech apps have integrated Lightning. This has resulted in the network reaching 3,624 bitcoin in payment channels, which is up 198% YTD. The Lightning ecosystem has also matured, resulting in the number of users with access to Lightning payments increasing by over 700%.
