BitMEX has extended Sjors Provoost’s Bitcoin developer grant until November 2022, a six month extension from the previous grant, which expires at the end of this month.
As an author of the book Bitcoin: A Work in Progress (available on Amazon), Sjors formerly joined the BitMEX grant programme in August 2021, however prior to that he worked with BitMEX Research, building the open source ForkMonitor.info tool.
Commenting on the grant, Sjors said:
I would like to thank BitMEX for providing me with this financial support and extending the grant until November 2022. I’m happy to be able to continue finding bugs – through test, review and reckless first usage – so users don’t lose their coins!
The grant is based on the open source template grant contract. BitMEX, the platform which invented the perpetual swap contract, is proud to support open source Bitcoin development and engineering, aimed at improving Bitcoin’s robustness, scalability and privacy.
