Symbiogenesis will provide an interactive Web3 digital collectible art experience that will unfold in a virtual adventure and be tied to storyline players. With each strategic move of the player, the art continues to evolve further.
The interactive Web3 project is set on a mysterious floating island. Depending on the information obtained through holding the digital collectible art representing different characters, the storyline continues to evolve further. The players of the game can unlock several engaging stories of the world either by earning digital collectible art through various missions or trading them.
Furthermore, players can also build and sell digital art for their characters with a unique storyline. Speaking on the development, Symbiogenesis producer Naoyuki Tamate at Square Enix said:
Symbiogenesis was designed from the ground up on the blockchain and is designed to provide an exceptional experience for both community building and trading. Square Enix opted to tap into Polygon’s high transaction speeds, low gas fees, and overall user-friendliness to deliver this unique experience to Web3 fans.
Uncovering Hidden Items In a Virtual World
The basic concept behind Symbiogenesis is users get to explore the virtual world and also discover hidden items. Initially, Symbiogenesis will issue all utility items off-chain which players can later trade on-chain via Polygon.
Leading to the launch of Symbiogenesis, Square Enix is planning to launch a series of campaigns. This will help prospective players familiarize themselves with the integration of digital assets. Square Enix is preparing to launch Symbiogenesis by the spring of 2023.
They have built Symbiogenesis from the ground up to provide users with an experience of community building as well as trading. Apart from low gas fees and fast operations, another reason behind choosing Polygon was its carbon-neutral status. Commenting on the development, Urvit Goel, vice president of global games and platform business development at Polygon Labs, said:
We are extremely proud to collaborate with Square Enix, a highly respected gaming company with a proven track record spanning over several decades. Our latest collaboration just goes to show that Web3 is decisively getting more and more traction among the world’s largest developers, proving yet again that this innovative stack of technologies and the benefits they bestow have massive potential when it comes to gaming.
