Crypto anthem goes viral at the opening of ETH Denver
Look out, Bob Dylan, a new band at ETH Denver has dropped a protest anthem reminiscent of a blockchain, “Blowin In the Wind.”
The five-person group performed the anthem at the opening of ETH Denver, the industry’s preeminent event, singing together in folk whimsy lines like “we promise not to use centralized exchanges run by these toxic dudes” alongside expletive references to figures like Sam Bankman-Fried and Do Kwon.
While reactions to the song from the crowd in the convention center were muted, the video has quickly racked up more than 106,000 views on Twitter, including some pretty funny comments and retweets.
This feels like a bottom signal the same way that the NFT song was a top signal.

Cryptoslate is on the ground reporting from ETH Denver with the latest developments
Cryptoslate is live reporting on the ground with the latest news from ETH Denver.
While the official opening of ETH Denver takes place on March 3, several parallel events have taken place throughout Denver, including an interoperability conference, Walletcon and other events.
Reception to the event so far has been great, with several attendees saying it is the best crypto event in years.
Dave Balter of Flipside Crypto told CryptoSlate that “builders aren’t worrying about price like they were in 2018; it feels different now.”
Reports are, however, surfacing that some attendees are experiencing connectivity issues with Wi-Fi/cell signal, causing problems connecting to in-booth applications or protocols.
With top chains, protocols and VCs all convening in Denver this weekend, the Web3 community-friendly event will see numerous demos, workshops, and panels showcase the future of crypto and blockchain.
Entitled “The Year of the Spork,” this year’s edition has outgrown the Denver Sports Club and opted for a bigger venue at the National Western Complex. It is the second-longest-running Ethereum conference, which last year drew more than 20,000 attendees and more than 350 ancillary events.
Speakers this year include Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum; Adam Jackson, the co-founder and CEO of Braintrust; as well as Joseph Lubin, founder and CEO of ConsenSys.
