You are currently viewing LayerZero and rumors of a ZRO token airdrop coming by year-end

A number of rumors have been increasingly spreading in recent days about an upcoming airdrop for the LayerZero interoperability platform.

The ZRO token, according to some rumors, could land on the cryptographic markets by the end of the year, much to the delight of many airdrop hunters.

LayerZero’s is in fact one of the most followed potential airdrops in the last 3 years, as well as one of the most promising ones given the valuation that Bryan Pellegrino’s company has recently reached and the funds it has raised from various Venture Capital and private investors.

Has the snapshot already been taken or is there still time to qualify and get a portion of the new crypto ZRO?

How do you go about getting ready with your address?

See all the details below.

LayerZero and the rumors of an upcoming airdrop

Over the past week, rumors about a rumored airdrop of the LayerZero platform have become increasingly serious, hinting that the debut of the ZRO token may be closer than anyone imagined.

The hype over X began when a few days ago the founder of the Tapioca DAO project, built on the LayerZero technology stack, announced the launch of a global update that would require precisely the ZRO token to work. The cryptographic resource will be used to pay L0 gas fees.

The update is scheduled for 12 December, hence logically the crypto should hit the markets before that date.

This is not the end of the story: although this news alone should be enough to confirm the rumors about the imminent atrrivodod of ZRO airdrop, here comes another hand grenade directly from the Layer Zero team.

A few days ago, the domain http:// layerzero.foundation was registered, which seems to be related to the same official domain of the project, namely http:// layerzero.network.

Both, in fact, have the same expiration date for renewal, as well as for DNS update.

In addition, the website http://layerzero.foundation has recently been linked.

To an SSL certificate (a protocol that allows the transmission of encrypted data), likely as an attempt to install a secure connection before launch.

Hence, it is beginning to be observed that similar pre-launch procedures have been adopted in the past by other projects releasing an airdrop such as Arbitrum, Optimism and Aptos.

By now, LayerZero’s name is on the lips of all airdrop hunters, who are just waiting to receive the long-awaited award after a year of farming.

The world’s largest forecasting crypto exchange Polymarket is also considering at a more favorable price the entry of ZRO by the end of the year.

The platform works like this: each share (“Yes” or “No”) purchased on the exchange can be converted into $1 if the predicted outcome turns out to be correct.

One insider in the project appears to have bought 90 percent of the entire “No” offer on the exchange’s order book a few days ago, as if he had out of the blue been assured of an airdrop by 2023.

Is it too late to try to qualify for the airdrop?

Although the LayerZero airdrop now seems to be upon us, perhaps it is still possible to prove eligible with one’s address and redeem the ZRO prize token, even if we have never interacted with the interoperability protocol.

We are on the brink, hence to succeed we need to be quick and perform as many interactions as possible with Stargate and the other platforms that leverage the LayerZero stack.

Airdrop will likely be based on the number of transactions executed, the number of protocols on which you have transferred assets, and the total volume transacted.

Indicatively, it is advisable to perform at least 10 transactions, cover more than 8 chains, and move a minimum of $200/3000.

It is also good to get in touch with at least 10 different smart contracts: in this regard you can choose the protocols you prefer by going down in those in the next graphic showing the LayerZero ecosystem.

Of course, even if you do everything correctly and in a timely manner, you will probably be able to get the minimum allocation for airdrop, your activity being limited to a few days.

Indeed, there is to remember that in the last few months more than 3 million users have interacted with the interoperability platform, hence competition is very high in this regard.

In any case, the project has raised so much funding from private investors and venture capitalists that even the slightest airdrop could prove substantial for the community.

In addition, among the crowd of users who have farmed to receive airdrop there are surely many bots and sybil accounts that have likely executed few transactions, hoping to get maximum return with minimum effort.

Confirming the thesis is data from Dune Analytics showing that about half of LayerZero users have performed fewer than 10 transactions to date.

Exceeding this threshold could in itself be enough to position oneself above half of the hunters in this context.

In conclusion, it is still not too late to participate in LayerZero’s crypto airdrop.

Until Bryan Pellegrino and his team officially announce a plan to distribute the token there will be fertile ground to win a share of the airdrop or get a boost if you have transacted in the past.

And even if you fail to earn a share of the new crypto ZRO, interacting with the various protocols in the decentralized ecosystem could make you indirectly eligible for other airdrops, as happened for example in the case of Celestia.

In addition, everything already will help you become familiar with DeFi platforms and cross-chain interoperability application that could benefit you in the future in your crypto investment journey.

The price you pay for “risking” earning more than $1,000 in a few weeks and gaining skills in the blockchain landscape is a few tens of dollars in gas fees.

The choice is now up to you.
