CESS (Cumulus Encrypted Storage System) Elevates Decentralized Data Value Networks with Launch of Incentive Testnet v0.7.6 Following Successful $8 Million Series A Funding
CESS (Cumulus Encrypted Storage System), the blockchain-based decentralized cloud storage network and Content Delivery Network (CDN), proudly announces the launch of its Incentive Testnet v0.7.6 on January 31st at 8:00 (UTC 0). This milestone comes on the heels of the successful completion of Series A financing, securing an impressive $8 million in funding.
The Incentive Testnet v0.7.6 marks a significant achievement for CESS, which has diligently undergone twelve rounds of testnet upgrades. With over 40,000 nodes that have participated over time, CESS has demonstrated its commitment to building an open, transparent, collaborative, and mutually prosperous data value network.
Nicholas Zaldastani, Co-Founder and Chairman of CESS, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming release: “We are thrilled to introduce Incentive Testnet v0.7.6, marking another significant step in our commitment to creating a robust and collaborative data value network. The support from our community and the successful completion of Series A financing reinforce our dedication to pushing the boundaries of innovation in decentralized storage and CDN solutions.”
The upcoming testnet version introduces various upgrades for storage nodes, consensus nodes, and the decentralized object storage service (DeOSS). Notable improvements include optimizations to storage node economic models, enhanced pledging mechanisms, improved security measures, and better monitoring capabilities.
Reward System and Participation Details
The reward system for the Incentive Testnet v0.7.6 includes points for storage miners based on their contributed power relative to the network’s total storage power. Storage miners will share 20,000 points in total for v0.7.6, which is equivalent to 2,000,000 CESS tokens. Consensus nodes completing the testing period will receive 50 points and can contact administrators for staking rewards. Rewards will be distributed at a ratio of 1:100 (1 point equals 100 CESS tokens) after the mainnet goes live.
CESS encourages users to join the Incentive Testnet v0.7.6 and provides detailed manuals for account creation, storage node operation, consensus node operation, DeOSS usage, and DAPPs deployment. Users encountering issues during the testnet can seek assistance through CESS’s official Telegram group.
