The Coinbase-backed nonprofit Stand With Crypto Alliance says 18 US lawmakers are supporting the exchange’s initiative for clearer digital asset regulation in the country.

The Stand With Crypto Alliance advocacy group says that US Senators Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyoming) are “strongly supportive” of crypto, with the two lawmakers having sponsored or co-sponsored eleven crypto bills between them.

According to the Stand With Crypto Alliance, the two senators’ position on crypto earns them an A score.

Other US Senators with an A score for their “strongly supportive” position on crypto are Ted Budd (R-North Carolina), Bill Hagerty (R-Tennessee), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-New York), John Cornyn (R-Texas), Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama), Ron Wyden (D-Oregon), Steve Daines (R-Montana), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee), Cory Booker (D-New Jersey), Markwayne Mullin (R-Oklahoma), Todd Young (R-Indiana), Kyrsten Sinema (D-Arizona), Thom Tillis (R-North Carolina) and Mike Lee (R-Utah).

The Stand With Crypto Alliance rates US Senators John Boozman (R-Arkansas) and Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) as being “supportive” of crypto, earning them a B.

Meanwhile, US Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts), Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and Roger Marshall (R-Kansas) are some of the lawmakers who score an F for their “strongly against” stance on crypto, according to the Coinbase-backed nonprofit.

Among the 2024 US presidential candidates, the digital asset advocacy group whose goal is to “mobilize the 52 million American crypto owners into a powerful force” assigns an A score to Robert Kennedy and Dean Phillips for their “strongly supportive” stance while Donald Trump gets a B for his “supportive” position.

The incumbent President Joe Biden scores a D for his “against” stance on crypto.
