Market and NFT Prices: Weekly Sales on the Rise, Soar to August Levels

The NFT market seems to be experiencing a bull moment, with weekly sales volumes nearing 85 million dollars.

According to what reported, in fact, it seems that the week between September 30 and October 6 recorded a sales volume very close to the week ending August 25, when it had exceeded 93 million dollars.

Dizzying numbers, but still very far from the peak of the weekly sales volume for NFTs of over 2.2 billion dollars, recorded from August 23 to 29, 2021.

In any case, it is a true recovery for the entire Non-Fungible Token sector, with increases in prices and the number of transactions.

Leading the NFT scene of the last week in terms of blockchain was Mythos Chain, with over 15 million dollars in sales, a gain of over 6,000%. In fact, looking at the ranking of collections by weekly sales, in first place is the NFT collection DMarket, with over 14 million dollars in 537,714 transactions.

Together with Mythos Chain, Polygon also recorded a 210% increase in NFT sales over the last seven days. In contrast, the NFTs on the Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana blockchains did not see sales surpassing those of previous weeks.

Market and NFT prices: more data for the great recovery of weekly sales

Analyzing the situation, then, other interesting data emerge that indicate a general increase in the NFT market.

For example, the number of NFT buyers last week rose to over 839,000, an increase of +22% compared to the previous week.

Other important data concern the number of transactions which, for the last week, increased by +71% compared to the previous one. In total, there are over 2 million recorded transactions.

Speaking of prices, instead, in this last week, there was the record sale of one of the famous CryptoPunk, number 1563, at the incredible price of 56.3 million dollars (24,000 ETH).

The latest news in the Non-Fungible Token sector

While monitoring the weekly sales, the NFT market continues to involve major players from other sectors as well.

Just in these days, Pavel Durov, CEO of Telegram, announced that very soon the new “Gift” function just launched, will allow users to convert gifts into NFT based on TON.

Even the auction house Christie’s is back in the game when it comes to NFTs. This week, it will offer the collection of photographs by Trevor Traina accompanied by NFT ownership certificates minted on Base.
