Grevm 2.0

On March 3, 2025, Galxe announced Grevm 2.0, a major upgrade to Gravity’s execution engine, designed to enhance scalability, efficiency, and transaction finality. Grevm 2.0 replaces optimistic parallelism with a directed acyclic graph (DAG)-based scheduling system, which reduces conflicts, minimizes re-executions, and improves transaction ordering. This results in faster processing times and increased throughput, particularly in high-traffic environments.

Benchmark testing demonstrated Grevm 2.0’s ability to outperform Grevm 1.0 by 5.5 times in high-contention workloads, reaching 2.96 gigagas per second while maintaining near-optimal performance in worst-case execution scenarios.

A key enhancement with Grevm 2.0 is Parallel State Storage, which separates temporary and finalized data to eliminate bottlenecks and ensure smoother transaction finalization. This feature improves the handling of validator rewards and self-destruct operations, preventing slowdowns and optimizing system efficiency.

Beyond performance improvements, Grevm 2.0 introduces substantial gains in computational efficiency, consuming 95% less CPU than Block-STM. This reduction in resource consumption makes Gravity more scalable for demanding use cases like DeFi, gaming, and cross-chain applications, where high throughput and low latency are critical.

With Gravity’s adoption increasing, Grevm 2.0 positions the network as a high-performance, omnichain Layer-1 capable of supporting complex, resource-intensive applications. Future optimizations, including lock-free scheduling and improved validation processes, will further enhance Gravity’s ability to accommodate scalable, developer-friendly infrastructure.

Devnet

The Gravity L1 Devnet serves as a critical testing environment for developers and validators as Gravity moves toward its mainnet launch. The testnet undergoes bi-weekly resets, ensuring a fresh environment for ongoing experimentation and performance optimization. Developers can access key resources, including the Gravity Devnet Faucet, Explorer, and RPC endpoint, to test smart contract deployment, transaction execution, and network interactions under real-world conditions.

Early performance benchmarking highlights 500ms block times and an ERC-20 transfer throughput exceeding 7,000 TPS, showcasing Gravity’s ability to handle high-speed, high-volume transactions. While these are preliminary results, they establish a strong foundation for further optimizations and scaling improvements.

Galxe Earndrop

Launched on Jan. 6, 2025, Galxe Earndrop simplifies airdrops and token rewards by providing a centralized platform for users to claim rewards across multiple projects. Traditionally, users must navigate separate ecosystems, meeting eligibility criteria for each project individually, which is often time-consuming and complex. Earndrop eliminates this friction by consolidating token distribution, allowing users to log in, check eligibility, and claim rewards seamlessly—all in one place.

Since its launch, the Earndrop tool has successfully distributed tokens for partners, including XRP, Solayer, Jambo, and Diam.

For projects, managing airdrops and Token Generation Events (TGEs) has historically required custom claim pages, manual setups, and fragmented distribution processes. Earndrop automates these tasks, ensuring greater efficiency, transparency, and accuracy.

Galxe Rewards Hub

The Galxe Rewards Hub is a new rewards system designed to enhance user engagement and incentivize participation across the Galxe ecosystem. Launched on Jan. 8, 2025, it allows users to earn Galxe Gold (GG) and Experience Points (XP) through quests, interactions, and staking, unlock exclusive benefits, access premium features, and claim mystery boxes containing rewards like USDT and ETH. To further boost earnings, users can subscribe to Galxe+, stake G tokens, mint a Galxe Passport, or utilize Galxe Score, accelerating their progress toward higher-tier rewards.

XP tracks user engagement within the Galxe ecosystem, rewarding active participants with leaderboard rankings and recognition. The top three users have earned over $1,000 in rewards.

The Rewards Hub is designed to foster authentic engagement while preventing Sybil attacks. It works alongside Galxe’s other products to block bots and fake accounts from exploiting incentives. The Rewards Hub leverages Sybil-resistant credentials, such as the Galxe Identity Protocol, to filter out fake users. A claiming fee for GG rewards helps sustain the rewards pool while discouraging low-value farming. Passport verification and Score integration also ensure that only genuine, active participants receive rewards.

The Galxe Rewards Hub continuously incentivizes user engagement, creating a positive feedback loop that encourages ongoing participation within the ecosystem.

ZK Raffle

On Jan. 14, 2025, Galxe introduced the largest onchain ZK Raffle, a zero-knowledge-powered onchain raffle designed to bring provable fairness and transparency to blockchain reward distribution. Built in collaboration with Succinct, a leading zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) project, the ZK Raffle leverages SP1 zkVM technology to ensure winners are selected through a fully trustless, verifiable, and tamper-proof process.

Traditional raffles often rely on centralized administrators, creating trust and transparency concerns. ZK Raffle eliminates these risks by leveraging smart contracts and ZKPs to prove that results were generated fairly and without manipulation. Using Merkle Tree verification, winners can cryptographically verify their selection. On top of that, Galxe uses their decentralized randomness oracle (Drand), which ensures that draw outcomes are fully auditable onchain. With Galxe’s cross-chain compatibility, it also allows for seamless reward distribution across multiple blockchains, expanding accessibility for participants. To showcase the power of ZK Raffle, Galxe and Succinct launched the zkRaffle Quest, offering a 300,000 G prize pool.

Soneium Partnership

Galxe has officially integrated with Soneium, an Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs to enhance scalability, interoperability, and accessibility. This partnership enables Galxe users to leverage Soneium’s chain credentials, wallet connectivity, and NFT minting capabilities, simplifying onchain interactions and expanding digital identity and asset verification on a highly scalable network.

Soneium is built to bridge Web2 and Web3, providing a developer-friendly, EVM-compatible L2 ecosystem powered by the OP Stack and Optimism’s Superchain. By integrating with Galxe’s credentialing and rewards infrastructure, Soneium gains enhanced community engagement tools, making it easier for projects to onboard users and foster long-term participation.

G Domain Names

Galxe, in partnership with SPACE ID, has launched .g domains, an identity solution designed to simplify onchain interactions and digital asset management. Integrated into the Gravity chain, .g domains provide human-readable wallet addresses, replacing long strings with personalized names like “yourname.g”, making transactions more intuitive and user-friendly. With .g domains users have access to full ownership and cross-platform functionality. The .g domains serve as onchain usernames, website hosts, and decentralized email addresses.

Galxe and SPACE ID launched an incentive campaign to drive adoption, rewarding early adopters with domain name gift cards and token prizes. Since its introduction, Galxe has seen over 68,105 .g domains registered, demonstrating a significant level of interest from their community.
